My name is Sean-Michael Gettys and I am an artist who has been living with chronic pain and illness for most of my life. I graduated with a degree in Deaf Studies, Human Services from Cal State University at Northridge in 1994, but was unable to continue working in that field, and have found my passion lies in creating art. I started this blog to keep track of what I am learning about Mast Cell Activation Disorder and Mastocytosis, because I have many of the symptoms of Systemic Mastocytosis. After some testing, we now believe this is due to Mast Cell Activation Disorder. I will write more about my story here soon. For now, here is a basic introduction and explanation of why I started this blog.
